  • Hubs (HUBs) are an important tool for centralized management of the network. Like the backbone of a tree, it is a collection point for branches. HUB is a shared device, which is essentially a repeater. The main function of the repeater is to reproduce and amplify the received signal to extend the transmission distance of the network. In the network, hubs are mainly used for the construction of shared networks, which is the best and most economical solution to solve the problem directly from the server to the desktop. In a switched network, the HUB is directly connected to the switch and sends the data of the switch port to the desktop. The HUB networking is flexible. As a star node of the network, it centrally manages the workstations connected to the nodes, so that the workstations that works wrongly do not affect the normal operation of the entire network. Due to the important role of HUB in the network, it is also very important to select HUB.
